But to chart a path toward these goals, we first need to understand where it currently stands. That\u2019s why one of the first priorities of the Sustainability Office is to collect and analyse data on UM\u2019s current sustainability performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2025, our colleague <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lcatraining.nl\/index.php\/shweta-singh\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1775\">Shweta Singh<\/a> started to collect data on several sustainability aspects as a first step in taking sustainable action towards our ambitions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;The main goal of this work is not just to measure emissions, but to actually provide a clear direction for action. A significant part of the university\u2019s emissions comes from everyday activities like commuting, energy use, and purchasing. These are the things we all can influence.
