The Aachen Maastricht Institute of Biobased Materials (AMIBM) hosted last week the third and final Realise-Bio annual conference, bringing together the Dutch and German bioeconomy ecosystems at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus.
The event had over 60 registered participants, including experts from the project consortium and model project partners, engaging in discussions on the future of the bioeconomy, forging new contacts, and strengthening existing collaborations.
A highlight was the presentation by Yvonne van der Meer from AMIBM, who introduced attendees to the innovative and growing cross-border institute. She demonstrated how diverse disciplines and perspectives within AMIBM work together to inspire one another, fostering developments that are truly “greater than the sum of their parts.” This focus on interdisciplinary research perfectly reflected the spirit of the conference.
