Manoj Kumar Nallapaneni, PhD, is an Circularity Analyst and Social Entrepreneur defined by balancing disciplinary depth with transdisciplinary competences. Currently, he is a Researcher in Sustainability of Chemicals and Materials (SusCheM) Research group at the Aachen-Maastricht Institute for Biobased Materials (AMIBM) at Maastricht University in the Netherlands and an Adjunct Professor at the Swiss School of Business and Management (SSBM) Geneva, Switzerland. His academic foundation is as diverse as his professional roles, comprising a PhD in Energy and Environment with a research specialisation in Digital Circular Economy and Circular Power Systems from the City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, alongside advanced degrees, an M.Tech in Renewable Energy Technologies from Karunya University, India and an M.A. in Environmental Economics from Annamalai University, India, and a foundational bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from GITAM University, India. This unique background empowers him to translate complex engineering concepts into real-world applications, ensuring that green and circular innovations are not only technically viable but also sustainable, economically profitable and socially inclusive.

Driven by a mission to make circularity and resilience a functional reality, Dr. Nallapaneni advocates for circular economy-centric education for all through his non-profit research center, HICCER-Hariterde International Council of Circular Economy Research, India. He also serves as a Specialty Chief Editor for Sustainable Organizations section of Frontiers in Sustainability, leading the journal’s efforts to drive ESG and sustainable practices within global organizations.
